Small Country Garden, Shenley Brief: To transform a small rectangular fenced-in piece of lawn into a country garden! The client requested areas for sitting, dining, vegetable plot and a planting plan full of country garden flowers Client Wish List: Incorporate plenty of interlocking spaces to encourage interest and take focus away from the bland fencing. Solution: Space was obviously at a premium so we chose to design the area at a 45 angle to give the impression of length. We then divided it with planting areas rather than walls or hedges encouraging intimate spaces with out feeling cramped. Planting: Roses, calamintha, gypsophila, coreopsis and anthemis
